Carya Quartet Opens Season with a Bash

Concert, Reception, and Silent Auction on Friday, August 25th at Memorial City Mall

Houston, Texas–  The Carya String Quartet (Eugeniu Cheremoush and Laura Cividino, violins, Rainey Weber, viola, and Ed Harper, cello) will officially open their inaugural season with a concert, reception, and silent auction at the Virtuosi of Houston Studio (Memorial City Mall— Suite #235, 303 Memorial City, Houston, Texas 77024). The concert, which is open to the public, is free with a suggested donation of $15. Audience members will be treated to one of Carya’s signature programs, which includes music from three centuries, as well as a reception and silent auction. The proceeds which will raise money to support Carya’s educational and performance initiatives for the season, fulfilling their mission to foster community through engaging chamber music experiences.

“Virtuosi is an organization that promotes and encourages the young musical talents of the Houston community,” says violinist Laura Cividino. “This lines up with our educational ideal of bringing people together through music, to bring music into the neighborhoods, to inspire the next generation of musicians and create music lovers.” By hosting the concert, Virtuosi is also ensuring that all money raised will go directly into supporting the Carya String Quartet’s programming this season.
